Kids Only Kayaking

Basic kayaking for ages 5-12 on Sit-On-Top Kea Kayaks. Lessons will cover basic strokes, safety and FUN, FUN!

Price: $30 per person for two hours.

Level I Flat water Clinic

Half day instruction in the basics of kayak touring. Lessons will cover basic strokes, rescues, and orientation to the aquatic environment. Classes can be customized to meet the needs of the group.

Dates & Times: Every Thursday & Saturday (9am-12pm) beginning June thru Sep 4

Price: $75.00 ($55 for kids ages 10-15 on Thursday Clinics)

Prerequisites: None

Special Note: *Clinics offered on Thursdays are a Family Format, allowing kids ages 10-15 the opportunity to participate with an accompanying adult.

Level II Open Water Course

Our Level II full day Open Water Course goes beyond the basics and is set up to prepare paddlers to safely paddle on open water marine environments while feeling comfortable. Students will be instructed in basic chart reading and on-water navigation skills, open water rescues, advanced paddling strokes and maneuvers, and efficient paddling techniques and discuss safety concerns related to the open water environment and practice deep water rescues.

Dates & Times: Every Sunday (9am to 4 pm). Courses begin June 30

Price: $145.00 (includes lunch)

Duration: 7 Hours

Prerequisites: Level I Clinic or equivalent

Level III Rolling & Bracing

This course is suited to people who have completed our Level I &II Classes, or equivalent training, who want to take there boat handling skills to the next level.

Students are first introduced to a progression of exercises designed to develop lower body boat control and comfort upside down in their kayaks. Next we work on the high and low braces and develop proper paddle placement and control in preparation for the roll.. We then will put all the individual components together and work towards rolling up on your own. We employ a 4:1 student-to-instructor ratio for maximum individual attention

Stand Up Paddle Board  (SUP) Intro Lessions

You will Learn:

  • Water entry and balance
  • Proper stance and positioning on the board
  • Proper paddling technique

We’ll go through the basics:

Fit you with the correct paddle and board, for your size and ability. Next we’ll head out to the calm and quiet waters and begin our introduction to the newest craze in surf culture. We’ll take our time getting comfortable on the board before paddling.
